We all know that true happiness lies within.

But why can't we find it?

Over the last 10 years I've met thousands of women who are passionate and committed to their personal development.

But for so many of them, they wanted to change or grow or be better because, underneath it all, they believed there was something wrong with them.

They believed they needed to change something about themselves to be worthy of a relationship, to be loved by another person, or to simply be "OK."

They knew that they needed to love themselves.

And they believed self-love was possible... but there was always an "only if"...

"Only if I had a better body."

And then they could finally love themselves.

But that's a fundamental misunderstanding of who we really are.

The truth is this:

We're all worthy of love and belonging exactly as we are right now.

That's not to say that there's anything wrong with wanting a relationship, with wanting more for yourself, or with wanting more from life.

On the contrary, those are beautiful intentions.

But if you're looking outside of yourself—at a relationship, people, accomplishments, possessions, or anything else—for approval, self-esteem, or security...

If what's motivating you to keep going is the idea that change will make you lovable or worthy, then...

What you're currently doing is based on delusion and self-hate.

That's why it's not working.

If you want to discover your inherent beauty, value, and lovability, you won't find it outside of you.

You need to look inside. Because true happiness lies within.

And I know you've heard that before. You might even believe it to be 100% true.

But very few of us are taught how to harness all of the love we have in our hearts and point it at... ourselves.

And the irony is that, once you can do that, you understand that you have the power to create everything you want from life.

That's radical self-love.

What is radical self-love?

Radical self-love is more than an embodied, emotional experience. It's more than a mental exercise. Radical self-love is also a spiritual process. 

Radical self-love requires turning inward and looking deeply and honestly at all parts of yourself... including the parts you try to keep hidden (sometimes even from yourself).

It's about learning how to see yourself fully and treating yourself with kindness, curiosity, and compassion no matter what you find, what you've done, or what's happened to you in the past..

It's about giving yourself exactly what you need to create a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, abundance, inspiration, and joy.

That's why the AWAKEN monthly membership program includes practices that work on the levels of body, mind, and spirit to awaken radical self-love.

I've heard all of these statements from women I've worked with... and more.

And they're all lovely sentiments.

But if it's you that's saying these things, then it's important that you don't just look at the words but that you also look at the energy behind the words.

Are they words spoken with kindness, respect, or play?

Do them come with a feeling of lightness, quiet confidence, and joy?

Or are they spoken with harshness, fear, or doubt?

Is there a feeling of hopelessness, desperation, disdain, or even disgust?

Is there an underlying belief that improving is important because it would make someone else want you more?

If your insecurity or inner critic is guiding your personal or spiritual growth, experiencing radical self-love becomes very difficult if not impossible.

So what do you do?

Many people will tell you to drown out the voice of your inner critic with gratitude or affirmations.

Or they'll tell you to "just let it go."

But there are two major problems with those approaches:

#1 Trying to shut your inner critic up, ignore it, or push it down, is just another way of punishing yourself.

Your inner critic is there for a reason. It may not be serving you in the way that is best for you, but it grew out of a desire to protect some wounded part of yourself.

Your inner critic is pointing to a part of yourself that needs your compassionate, loving attention.

Ignoring your inner critic or trying to shut it up is the same as ignoring an injury rather than caring for it tenderly.

Also...

#2 Those suggestions are based on a fundamental misunderstanding of those practices.

The power of practices like affirmations, gratitude, journaling and more doesn't come from force or overpowering.

These are practices that are most impactful when they flow with compassion and vulnerability and from from the heart.

That's why, to be the most effective, they need to be paired with practices that soften and open the heart.

In case I missed anything, here are some commonly asked questions.


❶ How is AWAKEN different from other ways I can work with you?
The biggest difference with AWAKEN is that it's a monthly membership program—you can participate in it for as long as you'd like. As with all my work, the longer you participate, the more you will deepen into self-love.


❷ Do I need to have experience to participate in the healing sessions?
No. The healing sessions that are appropriate for people with any level of experience. For over 10 years, I have been teaching holistic wellness practices that help people tap into the wisdom of their body and heart to heal and transform themselves. I'm an experienced yoga teacher (ERYT 500) / yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and a Reiki Master Level practitioner. I offer sessions that work for people at any level of experience.


❸ Is this program trauma-informed?

Yes. In 2009, I completed an in-depth training program for people working with trauma survivors and began leading these trainings in 2012. I am also a trauma community counselor in California. All of my offerings are trauma-informed.


❹ Can I invite a friend to join with me?

Absolutely! We're all influenced by the people around us. The more time you spend with other people in AWAKEN and the more committed you are to the program, the sooner you'll feel the difference in all aspects of your life.
